My car didn't have power seats so I don't know what the original 3rd gen connector looked like. But I can tell you that my powered 4th gen seats are a simple two wire connection (power and ground). Can't get any easier then that.

The connectors are different but the wire count and power / ground is the same. Just cut off the femal connector from the new and old seats and swap them. You should solder the newer seat connector to your old harness but but connectors will work in a pinch.

Can't pop the pins out and push them in the other connector?

Assuming the pins are the same. I agree with Dave, though. Assuming there is a harness (neither of my cars has the harness for power seat), it's easier to clip the car harness and solder & shrink tube the new (4th gen) connector on the end. I have a power seat slide in the garage that works, I just need the panel that holds the controls (and the controls for that matter) on the side of the seat, and of course, the harness that goes to it.

I went 88 GTA powered seats to 98 Camaro Powered seats. The connectors were different.

to echo everyone else, hot and ground are all that is neede for both seats. well, the GTA seats also utilize air hoses. Very Happy
