We were riding 7 deep up to Alder Lake and the guy directly in front of me hit the guard rail at at-least 40mph.

He got scared he wasn't setup for the fast corner right after the sharp corner left. He straightened up and locked his breaks up trying to stop. I thought I was gunna see superman go cliff flying for a second. Fresh Ducati with 7 miles less than 2000 on it Crying or Very sad
These guys got way more experience then me so its kinda an eye opener, especially to see it happen.

Hope he was OK. Target fixation and probably a bit too much speed. No margin for error riding the bikes fast, chill out and ride within your limit. If you really want to see how fast you can go, find a track.

target fixation for sure. i've never done it on the road but i've done it many times in the dirt. you get scared just for a second and thats all it takes.

dude was ok. got the wind knocked out of him pretty good. probably super sore today, he tightened up all his muscles so he wouldnt fly over. the bike took most of the impact. he got that ducati for 8 grand. the first owner bought it but couldnt afford it and had to sell. i think its like a 997 or 883cc or something.. he got a great deal

riding some good twisties sure makes the daily commute boreing.

Yet another reason I don't like riding bikes. Seen too many brutal crashes that wouldn't have been nearly as bad had the person been in a car. Glad that guy was ok. Cool

I've been down that exact stretch a few times. It always struck me that it would be a fun on a crotch rocket. Guess it wasn't so much fun for him. Sucks about the bike, looked nice. No no no...
