I think it would have looked good with the flat red/black, I don't like the rust/primer/bondo look.
I'll take the power-plant though! |

James and I have talked about doing a rat-rod 3rd gen, but decided that people would just think it was another POS 3rd gen. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

By definition a ratrod is a car that is half-assed together in a failed attempt to go fast. That defines everything you own. |

i know a couple guys that have gone head first into building rat rods. One actually knows what he is doing and set aside the four 67 - 69 firebirds, 72 BB Corvette, Jag 4 door with a 350 in it and 1989 GTA 5.7 litre convertible. Yea I know, no factory option for 350 and vert but it was a car ordered by the dealer as a T-Top and sent to ASC. His rat rod is interesting, he is doing the work and rounding up parts from anything you could imagine. It started out as a late 30's something and is not classifiable.
It is more art the automobile.
To take a late model and make it look like it is 30 years old lacks imagination to me. It just reminds me of all the beater 69 camaros I used to see when I was in HS. |

The only way you could pass off a 3rd gen as a ratrod is to pick up a low mileage car with worn factory paint, dings and dents etc. Most people would call it a survivor. Not many of those around today. Most have different colored fenders, ground effects, spoilers etc. |

The Berli is the newest addition to the Frankenmaro line. IROC Hood & Wheels, gridded tail lights. We'll also change out the hatch (w/the 92 spoiler) btw, John, I have the "better" steering box in my shed. I think it belongs to you...lol! _________________
