I'm looking for a 3.4L V6 FWD (did some research and the RWD is apparently horrible)
A passenger door that's Bright/Maui Blue or someone who can take out a sizeable dent. I was told it would have to be re-enforced, which is why I'm looking for a new door. My current doors are manual, but a power upgrade would be awesome

84-89 automatic shifter plate
Crew meetings that aren't scheduled at times when I'm deployed/on DET Would be pretty cool to meet some of you guys and shoot the shizzle. _________________ Sink or Swm

I have a set of straight doors here, but they're burgundy. |

Welcome to the Crew. Good news about this place is that anyone can set up a meet. Feel free to plan one at a time that you will be able to make it!
Good luck on your search and thanks for your service.

That would be great if I could stop by and take a look at that engine and shift plate; mine cracked when I was installing my stereo but if yours is in good condition I'd certainly buy it off you. What part of Whidbey are you on? I'm going to be back in Oak Harbor tomorrow. _________________ Sink or Swm |

Got the shifterplate from Kurfbird, but I'm still looking for the rest of the items, more specifically the 3.4 FWD
If anyone's got some power doors in good condition I'm interested. I've decided that instead of wasting my time looking for the correct color and all, I'm just going to sand-prime-paint. _________________ Sink or Swm |

Like I said, I have a set of doors here with power windows and locks, and a set of power mirrors (not installed on the doors).
Also, out of curiosity, why are you looking for a FWD 3.4L? Blocks are the same IIRC, and the 3.4 is not much of an upgrade. |

He might be after it because the FWD heads are aluminum and allegedly flow better than the iron RWD heads.
I thought I remembered reading once that there was some trouble with using a FWD motor on a F-body platform because of the position of the motor mounts and the way the intake is designed, but I'm not 100% sure.
I'd love to see someone swap over a DOHC 3.4 into a 3rd gen though. _________________

The blocks are different. Mostly the fact they are roller blocks, but also starter mount locations, n a few other things.
The fwd heads do infact flow better. Then gen3 heads flow better then max ported gen1s. But you have to make your own custom intake if you go above gen2???? because 3 n above you can not rotate it around or some crazy stuff. |

Can't use the FWD alum. heads on the RWD block. The starter location for the FWD block is only a problem if you have a manual trans. Or maybe its the other way around. Their are a few guys on TGO that are running FWD 3400s in the 3rdgens. Search the V6 board over there if you have questions about this swap. Most of the V6 guys over there are actually pretty cool. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6
