I recently purchased a 170 degree thermostat for my engine. I have the ability to burn a new chip and I would like to change my fan on/off temps to go with it. Does anyone have any suggested fan on/off temps for ac on and off? My best guess is to lower them about 20-25. What about the switch for the second fan? Thanks. _________________ 2010 Cobalt LT

Second fan is controlled by the A/C circuit. One fan is enough for cooling our cars.
I like to set my fan on temp about 15deg higher than t-stat, and off temp about 5deg higher that t-stat.
Not all stats are perfect, as are the fans. Play with the temps so you don't get the fans cycling all the time while running down the freeway, or never turning off. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |
