The heads and cam are used, they came off of my 87 IROC and have about 9K miles on them.
I bought the heads, cam and head bolts new from Summit. The heads are TF model # 31400006, have 1.25" diameter valve springs, steam holes for 400cid, 3/8" rocker studs, angled center bolt intake pattern, perimeter bolt valve cover bolt pattern, 63cc combustion chambers and stock exhaust port locations. I have the original paperwork / instructions and CARB stickers that TF supplied with the heads. TF says that a " cam with 238 degrees @ .050/106 degree lobe seperation with .512 lift will clear stock pistons". I would also include the correct ARP head bolts / washers in the sale. The head bolts are used and need to be cleaned up.
The HR cam - Crane Cam, HR-276-2S-12 IG. Specs are as follows - lift - .488I, .509 E with 1.5 ratio rockers, duration - @ .050 lift - 214 I, 222E. It made great mid range tourqe from 2600 RPM to 4.5K then pulled hard to 6200rpm with the TF heads and T-Ram intake and 9.0 to 1 compression ratio the stock ZZ4 short block provided. This combo snapped your head back into the low back buckets at the lower RPM range and held it until 6K plus. Yet it still delivered decent fuel economy ( 18 around town and 28 on the HWY) as long as you kept your foot out of the throttle. This settup put down 300 RWHP and 360 ish RWT with headers, 24 lb injectors and a 700R4. I only ran it once at the track, ran a 13.11 @ 104+. It needed more fuel ( RWD yno showed a 16-1 AFR at WOT), should have been good for high12's and 108 MPH trap speeds with stock 3.42 gears.
I was planning to install these parts in my wifes 1990 IROC convertible ( has replacement 350 engine) along with a HSR but have decided to go with an LSx engine instead.
Asking price is 800.00 OBO. Shipping is paid by the buyer. |
