And the budget is 0 dollars. hahah.

So can I just cut the springs to lower it? Or do I have to start changing a bunch of stuff?

"Changing stuff" fixes some of the the problems associated with lowering. Technically you don't need to do anything but your rear axle will be a bit lopsided in the fenders and the rear control arms will probably be at an undesirable angle. At the very least. Smile

Yes you can just cut your springs. I have cut springs on the back of my car. Just do it correctly with a cut off wheel or something similar that won't introduce a lot of heat into the springs. (heat changes springrate.)

The least amount of things I have to change the better. Now that I'm looking at it my car seems pretty low. Maybe thats just because I had it on jackstands forever. Laughing

I cut the springs in my car, just make sure you don't cut to much off start with 1/2 a coil if it still to high cut more, I cut 1 1/2 coils first try now my car sits way to low, the bottom of the k-member is only 3" from the ground.

You will have to get a front end alignment, so if the budget is 0. Well, sorry.

You can cut coils. On the front, the first 1/2 coil nets you nothing. Starting at about 5/8 to 3/4 coil cut off, it starts going FAST. And like Ian said, do it with a cut-off wheel.
