Not a fan of the wheels and the louvers are hideous. Hey, you asked for opinions. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Those are truck wheels dude. Here's a picture of 'em on my old truck:
IMHO that car has lousy wheels, lousy stance, and lousy louvers. Also, somebody forgot to paint the mirrors, and whoever put the body back together after paint was not interested in things lining up.
Just my two cents. |

like I said not ever one is going to like them, ya they do make them for trucks but I don't see how that matters they make them for cars too.
I like them, but I don't think I am going to get them, I dont really wanna go back to a steel wheel
FWIW the louvers are hideous and early thirdgen Trans Ams came stock with flat black mirrors. |

I was thinking of doing those wheels a while ago. They look neat but for some reason they look ginormous on that car. So, I like the colors, like the rims, don't like the louvers or the stance on that car pictured. _________________ E30

I like them, I have always liked the D-windows. Gives it a bit of that NASCAR look. I thought they made them in 17x9 also, which means you can run even more tire. Like 275-40. There was a time when I thought about them as well, since it is pretty hard to find a new 17" wheel for less money.

| Those are cheap steel wheels and it looks like it. My suggestion is to give it a few months and see if you still have the same idea. |

The wheels on the car are not "D-windows". They are round. They are "D" shaped in the pic Aaron posted. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Not a huge fan of the wheels but I like the gray and matte black look. I'd matte black the hood on that car.. and lower the front a little..
Umm. I think I had that color scheme once..

I could take IROC wheels, slap on some adapters, and put 'em on my Ford truck. That doesn't make them truck wheels. Likewise, putting AR Outlaws or Ultra 164's on your Camaro doesn't make them car wheels. My statement was based on styling, not bolt pattern.

Actually, those aren't D-windows either, they're just the standard stamped steel spoke wheels. More triangle than 'D'. |
