As youve seen by some of my post Ive been trying to fix my cluster. I got tired and figured Id just order a digital one.... to find out its no longer available due to going out of business. After hunting around and emailing, I find out the company who took it over is upgrading it and re-releasing it.
I worked out a deal of sending in a cluster for test fit and some internet advertisement to get a free set
So, just keeping up my end, the "Nordskog" 91-92 camaro digital dash is coming back as Intellitronix.
If you would like one, they are quoting 395 as the price. No due date yet though. _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

and I just noticed I have some mis-spelled words in my post. If John or another admin wanna fix them for me, go ahead!
Tony. From the guys words, they were already working on it. I just pushed it faster and provided some items for test fit. |

You should be able to edit your own post.
If I took care of all the spelling errors, I would have carpal tunnel from just following Davidson around

that awesome! im not the worlds biggest fan of digital gauges, theres something about the readout that bugs me over the needle look but its good to know theres an option out there still, things are being discontinued left and right and eventually someones gonna have to pick up production again

RS freak. DD still makes it for 82-89 camaros. But they dx'd the 91/92.
Blu... Ive never dealth with one except the HUD in my GTP. But anything has to be better then half my gauges not reading right and not finding any way to fix them other then replace with another used item that may or may not work. |

I went aftermarket lol except I went cheap, eqqus mehanical temp, oil pressure, and voltmeter mounted in a panel under my center vents, and a fuel gauge in a pod on my dash, when I get my new tach and speedo for the t56 swap I'm gonna cut an abs plastic panel for the speedo tach and fuel so it will retain a somewhat factory appearance, instead of the 3 circles in the middle it will just be one
The eqqus gauges aren't bad, 70$ got me the 4 gauges I've got and its gonna be like 200$ for the speedo and tach, plus time you end up comin out the same price wise for a digital dash _________________ If you expect a kick to the balls and get a slap to the face its still a victory

| Dakota Digital will custom make your cluster. Send it in to them and they'll swap out analog components for digital ones. at a hefty price of $900 |

They never did stock one for the 90-92. You need to send your own in to them so they can retrofit their gauges into the bezel. You can find the option under Custom Instrumentation. They run about twice the price of the ones they stock. I have a set in my 92. _________________ 92 Camaro

Al, I don't see a reset button for the trip ODO. just a cutout square. How do you reset it? _________________

Button is out of sight to the left in the picture.
Two buttons, one to display/reset odometer, trip meter, service (I use for oil change), KPH, 1/4 mile time, 1/4 mile mph, 0-60 time and one or two others I can't remember. The other to display/reset under the tach for RPM warning (what I have displayed and set to 5500), total hours (I haven't reset since engine replacement), and high rpm during trip. The display on the right also doubles as the brake warning indicator and the SES indicator (displays "BRAKE" or "ENGINE").

I've had mine since 177K miles and now have 245K. They cost me under $1000 at the time, now $1100. Takes 90 days to retrofit the digital gauges into your bezel, and all of the "guts" from your cluster are returned to you. |

The DD is the style I didnt care for.
I like the other kind cause you had the sweeping dial.
Another is cost. But if you were to pay a shop to mount all that stuff and have a drop in unit, it would be about the same.
Hopefully I will get my stuff in a few weeks |

The DD unit is far from drop in. Lots of wire splicing to do to run inputs to the microprocessor, which outputs to the display. Their stocked units (82-89 Camaro, for example) are much the same, they all run from the same microprocessor unit.
When I bought this one,I also looked into the Nordskog unit, which looked easier to install, but I heard about some issues with quality at the time (keep in mind this was about eight years ago). Maybe this new company will be much better, and I hope they are. Good lick with your quest |
