So, CL did it's thing and kept my e-mail anonymous. Now when I try to reply to the e-mail that was sent to me it wants to send it directly back to the person instead of back through CL again. Any way around this???

Here is the message that was sent to me. I'm thinking of not replying at all. It's not like I didn't say something about the car in the first place, and the lack of specificity bothers me.

"Hello There,

Can you tell me more about the car?"

Stay away from CL e-mails, unless they are specific enough about it, to leave to doubt to them being 1) Local 2) Interested 3) Not a man...errr, forget #3.

use a burn email.

you can create a yahoo, gmail, or other free email account and forward it to your normal account. i do this allot, set up "alias" email that drop into my main email. for example craigslist.xophertony@gmail.com might be something i create for craigslist adds, and then turn off the forwarding when i am done with it. 6 months later i will turn the forward back on after i make another post. it's not like, FBI anonymous but it will keep the spammers and Nigerians from hitting your normal box.

i actually do this with allot of things.
