Makes me wonder how much work it would be to get the LT1 intake running on the center-bolt 305. Would sure make a lot more top end than the TPI.

You have to have the intake machined to accept a dizzy, remove and weld up the holes for the EGR port.

Then some funky hose work for the cooling system.

In engrish, its alot of damn work!!!

Mini Ram's usually don't come up for $20 on craigslist, though. Razz

Your current valve covers will not work with the later heads on that L03, (or any 87+ motor like Paul mentioned).

On the bright side, the later valve cover style actually seals! Very Happy

Actually, they do make an adapter to mate old style covers to newer heads. Think I saw an add in Car Craft or something...?

Wasn't there a dude on TGO that would trim out a spot on the back of the factory lt1 intakes and weld a boss on for mounting a dizzy? Although I don't think that was any cheaper than the HSR.

yeah the lt1 intake modded was more work/similar cost than/as the HSR but you don't run into the hood clearance issues with the LT1.

Yup. I would think figuring out exactly where the dizzy hole goes and getting it the correct height would be the most difficult part of that conversion.

ok so here is whats going on and i have a few more questions

1. is a LT1 cam from a corvette different than a camaro? if so which one should i use

2. Should i use the L03 heads or the 416 heads from my LG4? (which would be better for my setup is what im asking i guess)

3. would it be worth it to buy both of the LT1 cams and sell one and keep one, he wants $10 each, im going thursday to get at least one

1.

2. No idea.

3. Yes. You may keep it on the shelf for a bit but you could make 15-30 bucks off it.
