Yeah yeah yeah. I know it is a completely obvious statement that 99.9% of the body-shops out there are spectacularly horrible. To the point of amazement it seems. I was out in the garage swapping front rotors on the bird and since I don't have a 14mm allen head socket at the new place I took a break and decided to fix the front marker light and fog light that was out. Wow. Both connectors were butchered by the body-shop with the wrong bulbs in them. Not a "oh it needs and amber bulb and we'll put a regular one in" it was an 1157 where it calls for a 2057. Nice. On top of that with my fog light swap they stole my Silverstar bulbs out of the Denali projectors I'm using and just jammed the factory fog light connector into the bulb. It didn't quite fit. I had made a jumper harness so it should have been a plug-n-play deal and I have no idea where those harnesses went to. Thanks guys. Add this to the list of other things they forgot to or just didn't care to do and I'm amazed they're still in business. If I weren't 50 miles away and almost a year after I got the car back I'd drive over and let them know what's up.
Just needed to vent. I'm going wakeboarding. Yes I'm going to freeze my ass off at night.

Birds are ditch dumb ahahha
everyone I know of has been in the ditch at some point in its life. (all 3 of mine, not my fault though!)
But back on topic, was this an insurance repair? or was it a cash job?
If it was insurance it doesnt matter how long ago, they will have the records of what was done. Call you insurance company, and the shop that hacked it will have to repair it. You can even take it to a different shop and have the hack shop pay for it. Well at least this is how insurance works up here, im not real sure if its identical down there but either way id be making phone calls. _________________ 1987 - Trans am GTA, hooker headers, Borla catback, Cat delete, CAI, 9.6 @ 75mph 1/8mile

Oh I'm not letting them touch the car again. Or anyone else for that matter. Not until I can afford the caliber of work that entails care for an individuals car. This was a cash deal. I worked at a Chevy dealership ontop of a bodyshop where I hooked up the shop with ultra cheap parts every chance I could just so they'd have motivation to do a good job if I ever needed them. Well, since my car loves to offroad, chase deer and generally be messed up it was totalled and I had them fix the front end afterwards. Subpar work IMO. Especially for all the business I brought them.
I've complained about it many times before but I just keep finding things that tick me off. |

Because you want to see it again within the next year.
If you every want to make fun of a body shop, come look at James' Z28, where the painter somehow managed to get blue paint inside the car. |

Read the links. Ian's totaling of his car is well documented in the crew archives. |

| What the deer was really trying to do was poop on your head and grind it in with his foot. 1 for 2 isn't bad considering the circumstances. |

Should be in a crew pamphlet or header on the website or something.

Deep down I'm a storyteller. It just so happens that weird, insane things happen to me all the time that make it SO easy to speak. |

You got the Texas plates and the DPS window sticker, but your not an official Texan till you got the Cowboy hat and the ostrich goin-to-town boots.
You might still be safe. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |
