on my 3.1 v6, hard to replace ? cork or rubber? Cork's are 10$ each and rubber is 20$ each, iuno what to do...
But Im not even sure it's the valve covers, but theres oil everywhere around it and below it.. so i think it is...
easy job ? should i remove the intake air manifold and o2 sensor infront would that be easier? thx |

Rubber.
Don't remove anything preemptively.
O2 sensor is nowhere near the valve covers. |

o2 sensor is in the exhaust. No need to mess with that.
I second the rubber suggestion. _________________

Possibly he was referring to the EGR valve, which is on a tower on the passenger side manifold. Regardless, I stand by what I said before: Don't take anything off until you're sure it's gonna be in your way. |

Well this looks easy, Lol. I need to go get a ratchet with a deep socket... and just probably need to tighten them up, lol!
there all loose
THis car should run fine and if loosing less oil the oil gauge should be higher correct |

You have a pcv in one of the covers, I would replace it while I'm at it.
The only 2 sensors on the upper intake is the TPS, and IAC(not really a sensor). Neither of them need to be touched, just removed while still bolted to its partner. Whoever is thinking IAT, it is down in the airfilter canister which is no where close. On some of the v8 TPI cars it is in the upper intake
Lower intake will have your ECT, wont need to touch it, just make sure you dont snap it off. |
