it looks like a 83 or a 1/2. 84's had the full gfx and solid black outs instead of grill. and the hood was only offered on trans ams reguardless of t-tops option. _________________

According to the Standard Catalog of Firebird 1967-2002, the solid blackouts (along with gfx) were part of an aero-package only available on the Trans Am in '84. Non-Trans Am models kept the standard grill. As far as I can tell, the power-bulge hood was standard from '82-'84 as '85 is the first year in which a different hood option is listed. I might be wrong about that, however the catalog shows several pictures of Firebird SEs with that hood. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6
