so anyhow i was riding by my old house where i hang out and well theres a set of railroad tracks that got removed but theres woods right behind them and i always see kids go in there so i decided to check it out and i went a bit into the woods and i saw well i dont even know what it is but new its from a car.
so i looked more and kept finding more body pieces just a few feet away from the food piece. and i found a fender, dash with gauges, and i think a door or two and some other pieces. they are pretty badily rusted out and look as if they are from something like a 57 or so bel-air (Im not a exept with the real classics).
they are in the ground pretty well but i would suspect if i was to get a few good sized people we could pull out the right fender atleast if we wanted to. so could any of these pieces be worth squat if they were fixed up? also wanted to add the fender a right side rear fender with the gas door on it and also behind the dash i could see a piece of something that said "model 700" maybe this will help identify the model. anyhow im trying to think it got there because i doubt people just threw the parts there so im thinking they possibly spun off the road into the woods because this isnt very far into the woods.
So should i try pulling out the fender because even if its not worth something i want to restore it and re-paint it and use it for practice on polishing. i cant get the photos up so im going go get some photos with the camera. thanks everyone. |

Gets some pics of the dash. Get pics of the grill if you can find it.
They wont be worth anything to sell, and digging them up is theft anyhow, but I'm curious to see what they are. |

Well I can tell you for sure it's not a 56 chevy. 56's had the gas filler behind the left tail light. Looks to be a buick or a pontiac. _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.

I was going by the "speaker" hole in the dash and shape of the taillight. I didnt know the filler was behind the light. |

Yup. Was like that in '57 too IIRC. Taillights aren't Buick or Pontiac though.
'55 Plymouth maybe...?

It's not theft if it's on public land, in fact, you're doing a service by getting that trash someone dumped out of there. I know a guy that pulled a 50's ford truck out, and the Forest Service thanked him for getting it out of there. _________________ 1986 Camaro Z-28 IROC-Z 350 swap |

You know thats Christine buried in the woods.. as soon as he gets it unburied he'll suddenly become cool and cruise around blaring 50s music.
Edit: forgot the part where it comes and kills us all in revenge. |

Haha, yeah, true. I love Mopars, but, they are rust buckets. I have spent more time repairing rust on my Dart than driving it.... _________________ 1986 Camaro Z-28 IROC-Z 350 swap |
