just got my 350 back from machine shop today getting cam bearings installed...i just want to make sure before i start putting motor back together that its right...they installed 1 bearing at 11 o clock and 3 o clock and bearings 2,3,4 at 6 o clock and last bearing i believe at 1 o clock..from what ive read you want #1 bearing at 10 and 2 and other bearings at 2 o clock...and reason for them being at 2 is because valve train pushes down on cam creating less clearance for oil to come up under cam...am i understanding this correctly or am i wrong? did the way they install them correct? or do i need to take it back?...really dont want to have to take it back there customer service was terrible and need to get the car back together...but i rather take it back get it done right then throw out my new cam etc etc...
im installing a voodoo 268 cam and lifters with vortec heads modified for correct lift and specs of cam...edel rpm intake...and i rebuilt the Q-jet |
