This is available to me through the employee store for $161 (plus tax & shipping), I like many of the features as well as the resolution and HD video capability.

Although the large camera takes great pics, they do get a bit cumbersome dont they? If only phone cams actually took decent pics. Then you would always have a camera when you need one.

Yeah, though their resolution has significantly improved, their telephoto/zoom capabilities still lag behind the DSLR. That's the main reason why it won't replace the bigger camera

I ordered it Monday, it shipped yesterday and should be here on Friday. Just in time for our little Port Gamble meet, I'm kind of anxious to see what it can do.

For me, the total price including tax and shipping was $180.

I'll talk to you the next time my wife loses or breaks one of her cameras...she's on number 5 or 6 in the last 10 years. I still have my freebie that i got with a computer in 2004.
