Hey,
I saw a 96 350 Vortec on CL today, was thinking about picking it up, what do you guys think, are they much better than the old 4 bolt main 350's like my car has now? The 96 one is 250, they have a 97 with 80k on it for 300 too. _________________ 1986 Camaro Z-28 IROC-Z 350 swap |

the blocks are the same basic desgin. They are roller, where your car may still be flat tappet.
The heads are different, flow better, odd bolt pattern to the intake (4bolt vs 6bolt). But same bolt pattern to the block. |

So probably worth 250 to rebuild and have laying around for the day I'm too hard on my 350 and it's insides end up on the pavement? _________________ 1986 Camaro Z-28 IROC-Z 350 swap |

Your money, your call.
As mentioned, just be aware that the way the heads to intake bolt up is different. |

It sold before I could get it, I want an LS anyways. It could have been cool for a future street rod project to have laying around though... _________________ 1986 Camaro Z-28 IROC-Z 350 swap |
