Any good or bad companies making wheel spacers? Anything to avoid?

Looking for something along these lines:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WHEEL-SPACERS-ADAPTERS-FORD-BRONCO-F150-4pcs-5x5-5_W0QQitemZ370207890626QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item56321c1cc2#ht_1389wt_965

Don't need to adapt to any different wheels, I just need to push the rims out an inch or two.

Make sure if you need hub centric that they are!

I bought some for the Mazda. They wanted make/model/year and what I was going to convert to.

Mazda has hubcentric wheels. Spacers came... they built them lug centric. Shook like a dog shittin' peach pits. I had to machine spacers to center the adapters AND the new wheel. Wasn't fun.

Come to think of it, that truck is hub centric. Surprised

Thanks for the heads up, Paul.

I saw a bunch of cheap wheel spacers online and got scared. Ended up spending the extra doh and getting the H&R's. Real nice though. SOLID and hug centric. The cheapies looked like they were cast and were missing some metal. Plus this way I can go to the place I got them instead of dealing with an online company.

I bought mine through an eBay seller. They did not, however, have the correct center bore. I had to dremel them out to get them to fit, tightly at that. I'll update later with which seller it was.

Bought mine from ebay years ago. They were cheap. Something like $75 for all four? Fit fine and have taken some pretty hefty abuse. Very Happy

Ian, I was gonna go with VBP (Vette Brakes and Products) spacers for my Z06 wheels as thats what I know a bunch of guys on TGO are using. Do you know who made your Ebay ones?

I was going to say I had no idea who I got them from but I checked paypals history and voila! I bought them Jun 2nd, 2004 from a guy named Dwight Long. Seller ID on eBay "completevalue"

They went up in price a bit. I payed $78 for all four.

I thought the centerbore for 3rd gens is 70.5mm? Those say they're 78.3. Can anyone verify which is correct?

Talking the Hub size? It's pretty standard for 4 3/4 on 5 patterns. Vettes are the same.

Well I just bought the same ones Ian did. I hope these work out a little better than my last set.

Re-torque them per spec. Then re-torque them again.

They don't "fail" by having the lugnuts unscrew. That's your beans! Wink

Confused I never said mine "failed," the center bore on my last set was too small to even put the adapter on. I had to expand the bore in order to even mount them.
