Alright, when we got our Durango I was all super into making it cool and fast. My dad told me to slow down and in two years we could further the discussion.

Well it is a 2002... need I say more?

It is my mom's car, but she probably would not notice much in the way of extra torque or HP. I am thinking just to get a little tuner thing and start screwing around with the computer, or maybe some headers or something.

Any suggestions?

The 4.7 believe. A CAI seems to be the most price fitting option. My father and I just wanna give it a little umph to make it more tow capable for the move down to Arizona.

That is as old as they come! I re-did the database in 2004, we don't have any of the postings from before then.

And for what it's worth I just finished doing all 4 ball joints, shocks, and front brakes on my Mom's 98 Durango.

I now rank the Dodge Durango as one of the top 5 piles of shizzle I have ever had to work on. Laughing

Hell our durango is reliable as hell and we push it pretty hard never have had a single problem in 2 almost 3yrs. we just got in a 3car accident with a 01 saleen mustang and a pt cruiser. not our fault by the way. we were stoped at a light and the mustang hit our rear at about 60mph which flung us into the pt cruiser and the whole mustangs front end is ripped off and defintly total, the durango on the other hand looks like it was in a little fender bender.

Me and the girl have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with that 4.7 in it, thing scoots, we've done intake, and are getting ready to do exhaust and a chip in it. She's a Jeep girl, has that and a Wagoneer for offroading in. I love that 4.7 though.

Not sure what motor my boss had in his durango. That thing started to use as much oil as gas.

Due to the location of the filler neck, he had problems getting the oil cap off. Always asked me to do it (which is pita to me even). He finally got rid of that thing about a month ago.

All the 4.7s have a gigantic filler cap right up front. So probably not one of those.

Boss's 360 burns 2 or 3 qts per 3k miles.. only like 70k on the truck too. I have another 318 in today that does same thing, but I figured out why on it. The intake gaskets are leaking big time.. sucking oil right out of the lifter valley.
