Did that wheel get torn off from a curb??
Nope, just from hitting the dirt.
The pressure pushed the rear end, broke the shocks off, dented the back of the quarter panel, the whole quarter panel is out of alignment now (dented up on roof and squeezed in by hatch).

No plan. Other driver had no insurance, we only have liability.
See the people that pay for insurance(over $200 a month for me??) get screwed when other people wreck their car. What is a no insurance ticket like $500? it might be worth it to not have insurance.

| If you have his info, sue his ass back to the stone age. He is 100% liable to the state for the no ins. fine, but he is also 100% liable for every cent of damage to your car, your Dad, and yourself. |

yep!!
The crash is all documented by the police but he said he will start paying us, if he does not, then I will get everything together to sue him. I learned the hard way that you can not trust people, so I will be on it this time _________________ -Donald

| If you can get money out of him without a lawsuit, do it. If you have to sue him you will win... a judgement. Then you have to get the right to garnish wages, then you have to hire a collector, then they take a cut. It's a big old C.F. |

Well my cynical outlook tells me that if he could pay for your car then he would have had insurance from the start. I tend to believe that he would have said about anything to avoid a lawsuit. including 'please Mr. Firebirdman don't sue me, I'll pay cash.'
You might seriously consider it, if he was gonna pay anyway then its no loss to him, if he wasn't gonna pay, then at least you acted in a timely fashion. If you wait too long then you could loose out all the way round. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

Get it in writing that he will pay. Document every payment. In some ways, taking a check would be best... but who is to trust his checks?
The first time he skips, sue his ass.
Cop issue him a ticket for no insurance? |

My dad smashed my car door into a rock wall when he backed my car out of the garage. Okay, it was his garage. But anyway, he paid for the fix and that's how I got my entire car repainted all pretty and everything. It's even an '89 Firebird... and red... and I was 20 years old. Gosh, similarities are uncanny! I think it is destiny that your car ends up back on the road better then ever. Your name will now be QwkBalls.
I don't know. Maybe we have to work on the name, but you get the point. |

Hopefully he will pay, he did STOP and STAY like 2 hours for the cops and stuff.

I like it, kinda, but it is kind of offending my manly hood if "QWK" stands for quick.... _________________ -Donald

Are you ok after that incident, and what about your dad driving? Doesn't look like a total disaster, but even minor crashes can have horrible results to its passengers.
The wheel actually came off from hitting the dirt?
I must have been pretty damn lucky when I hit the curb and only dented the cat...unfortunately my driver side took a beating from a pole...
I hope, and wish, everything goes well for you and you get full compensation! |
