wich leads me to my next question so i dont have to make another thread... ok so this guys said he would sell me a iroc motor and tranny but the tpi is off the motor so how hard is it to switch to carb? or what intake would i use for it.. oh yea price is 200 and he said he would throw in iroc rims and rear end!!!!!!

sounds like its a decent deal for $200. If those IROC rims don't have serious curb rash, they alone could be worth the price. If I were in your position, I'd make sure you can rotate the motor freely before you commit to buy.

as far as swapping to carb, it shouldn't be too tough. if its an 87 or newer the intake bolt hole angle is a bit different and you'll have to drill out the 4 center-most intake bolt holes in order to get the bolts started and seated. I do have a aluminum intake that's had the bolt holes widened I'd be willing to part with, back when I had Dewey's old heads on my car. Intake is nothing special, just a basic GM aluminum intake manifold. You'll need some sort of non computer controled distributor with a vacuum advance. Summit sells a basic HEI for around $100.

Aha. So I'm not going crazy and forgetting who has what project. Razz

You need to pull the codes off of the motor to confirm it is a 350. If it is, buy it. Sell the fugly dual-vein IROC wheels, and drop it in.

They're better than the RS 15 inchers! Wink

Ehh... Shrug

I tend to favor the RS wheels over the later IROC's, especially the 15-incher's.
