On my way home from my sisters tonight ( 4:30PM ish) I saw two 3rd gens on Highway 9, south bound going up the hill towards Clearview from the Snohomish river valley. One was a 1984 Black T/A and the other was right behind it, 85 or 86 red Z-28 with grey accents on the ground affects.
It is rare to see one clean 3rd gen, let alone two together in one day, was it anyone here?
On this same topic, I pulled into Safeway last night on 128th and parked next to a 1988 IROC convertible. It was a little rough, but looked original except for the chrome 20"+ IROC rims. It was Sunset Orange Metalic, tinted windows, black top and lots of door dings. When I came back out the guy and his girlfriend / wife were sitting in the car. I talked to the burly 20 something owner and he said he had just pruchased it with 50K miles on it and it was all original. The interior was really clean and the steering wheel was in great shape. I gave him my cell phone number and invited him to join the crew. He lives near me, so please extend a harty welcome when I get him to join the site. |

| Cool. You don't see a lot of the sunset colored cars. I always kind of liked that color. |

I often see third gens driving on Hwy 9 between Arlington and Mill Creek. If you haven't seen me already, I'm the one driving the 87 Camaro with the navy blue door (hitting a pole was a good excuse to fix that sagging door ).
I also see that black T/A (the one with the ram air hood and gold accents, right?). I think he lives/works near Arlington, as I see him downtown a lot. There's about 5 3rd gens I can think of on the top of my head that are all in Arlington. They seem to be pretty popular in Snohomish County.

| The T/A was solid black, no accents. The rims were gold, and the exhaust on the drivers side had a weird kink to it, dumped behind the wheel and angled away from the quarter panel, not straight back. Almost like the late 70's T/A's. I could see the exhaust tip as I passed by the rear quarter panel. It may have been a Recaro T/A? The Z-28 was about a 10 car lengths behind the T/A, maybe just a coincidents? Thought it was odd, never see two clean 3rd gens together like that. |

I talked my mom into buying a 5.7ltr 1987 IROC from a guy I worked with. It had 9K miles on it in 1993. She drove it for 8 years, then sold it to my brothers father in law. He rebuilt the engine ( CAT plugged and burned valves) and now doesnt really want it. It still has the original sunset mettalic orange paint. I dont hink it has more than 60K miles on it now, are you interested? This car hauled ass, bone stock except for the lame HYPERTECH chip it burried the speedo on I5 with 3 people in it. Topped out at 160 IIRC, the dude driving the 5.0 looked stunned.
Anyhow, I have knwon everyowner of this car since new. Let me know if you are interested. Forgot to mention it has the Delco Bose sterio, including the locking rear hatch cover. |

Oh, I've seen that one, too. Only once though.
I also see this GTO almost every weekday on Hwy 9 near Snohomish, supposed to be one of our member's brother?

| Yea, LOL, thats my younger brother. He has added Kooks headers, Spintech cat back, reprogrammed tranny computer, a couple of tuner programs and VAVA Ram CAI intake since then. He also has a huge .620 plus cam on the bench along with LSx L92 heads and a 3200 stall convertor. Once my car is done we will be starting on his. His settup should put him into the mid 11's. He is probably in the mid 12's now. |

Ohhh...haha...did you get a new screen name? Or am I just losing it, I think I'm losing it.
I've taken one of those 6.0 GTOs (6spd) out for a spin once...wow is all I can say. Even in stock form they are impressive, given it's weight and all, that and it's the fastest car I've driven |

My roommate has a 6.0 goat/6speed combo and it's REALLY fun. Plush as all hell inside. I mean one of the nicest interiors GM has put out in America, ever! _________________

Your not losing it, I changed screen names.
GTO's are great cars and the LS2 makes power everywere. My brothers car is an 05 with an auto transmission. The one thing they have problems with is the front suspension. Almost all GTO's need to have the fluid filled bushing's replaced, and rear springs, doesnt matter how many miles are on them. |

Omg, I know! I felt like it wrapped me up when I stomped on it. Dangerous combo, though. End up falling asleep on an on-ramp or something doing 80+mph. |

I think Alex subconsciously agrees with you. He keeps wrecking the goat. Bashed another car the other day. Needs headlight/fender/hood/bumper. Half of which have to come from aus now! |
