So whats the deal with the torque arm mount for a t5? Is it different from a 700r4? And if I have to make one, what angle should the arm be set at?

The shape of the tailshaft is different between the 700 and t5., thus causing the bracket to be diff.

If your car is stock ride height, leave it in same position.

Ok i didn't know for sure. Thanks.

I don't know what position it was in. I already have the t5 all in and everything, except for the mount which I'll probably make. But I need to know how it was set originally.

If you're building a mount... build a new trans crossmember and mount the TA to that. It will make the T5 last longer not flexing the case there.

Pinion angle should be 1º Down relative to the Transmission output angle.

Yeah I was thinkin about buildin a xmember for a while, but didn't want to have it come apart while im drivin down the road. That'd be bad lol. And I don't race or anything with this car so it should be alright for a little while right? Or at least til i can find a job. Thanks for the measurement. Maybe I can get on the road soon.

If you're not building anything, just get the stock mount and be done with it.

Junk yard, TGO, or post up on the wanted board and see if anyone has one sitting around.

There's one on eBay right now, but the dumbass wants 35 bucks for a five dollar part.

James and I are going to the junkyard on Saturday. We can look for a bracket if you want.

Just out of curiosity, are there any relocation kits/mounts that can use the stock torque arm? all the ones I've noticed require an aftermarket TA.
