have some computer files that are 4+ gig. Every time I attempt to move them to a different drive, it says that drive is full. Yet I have 100,276, whatever gig free (plenty for the file).
Is there a "wall" in xp's system that wont allow me to do this? _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

I see that in Vista, on the command line,
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
will fix lag time with large files, not sure about XP
Try copy, then delete instead of move? _________________

| Some hard drive file systems won't accept files that large. What file system is the drive you're trying to move it to formatted in? |

My PC has a 320gig hd, partitioned out to 3 sizes.
I have tried moving it across the 3 diff partitions, wont go.
I am wanting to moving it to an external drive that is 1tb, that has 276gig of space left. Wont go.
I tried another external 1tb that has 100gig left. No go.
I have not tried copy, then delete. |

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsch is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. |
