have some computer files that are 4+ gig. Every time I attempt to move them to a different drive, it says that drive is full. Yet I have 100,276, whatever gig free (plenty for the file).

Is there a "wall" in xp's system that wont allow me to do this?

I see that in Vista, on the command line,

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

will fix lag time with large files, not sure about XP

Try copy, then delete instead of move?

Roughly 98 TB that's a huugely massive hard drive, whenever they end up making them.

Some hard drive file systems won't accept files that large. What file system is the drive you're trying to move it to formatted in?

My PC has a 320gig hd, partitioned out to 3 sizes.

I have tried moving it across the 3 diff partitions, wont go.

I am wanting to moving it to an external drive that is 1tb, that has 276gig of space left. Wont go.

I tried another external 1tb that has 100gig left. No go.

I have not tried copy, then delete.

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

netsch is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
