So i just got all the setup to tune chips and i pull my prom out of my 5.7 tpi 87 and its 4 letter code is ABUN or 8517 which matches up with a 305 auto.... Maybe this is the cause of some of my problems? rough idle low power its 14.1 but it should be quicker then that.

If anyone can chime in and let me know if thats really the wrong prom for my car that would be awesome.

also if you know what prom id i should start with for tunning i have a 87 iroc 5.7 tpi and it had a 5 speed swapped behind it with 3:45 gears.

Are you asking what PROM you should piggyback for limp home and whatnot, or what PROM *.BIN file you should start with?

I ran a L98 Hypertech ( Embarassed

) chip piggybacked with a Moates adapter. My BIN was a bastard-child of the ARAP and (IIRC) APYP bin files.

Well first im curious if that prom i just took out is infact the wrong one for my 5.7.

then im wondering which bin file i should start a tune on. and what should be tunned and what shouldnt this is all kinda forign to me and im trying to grasp it.
