Short version: Camaro is great, fuel injection is great. I need help with a T56 swap. Future plans may include... Forced induction?
It's been a few months since I've been around here. I just got tired of my Camaro for a while, due to a couple things. I spent every waking minute working on it over the summer, doing a fuel injection conversion. When summer ended, work got busy and I just didn't have the time to come on here or give my car the attention she deserves.
I'm back to being in love with the Camaro. There's nothing like it after a long time driving a commuter car.
Just to get up to speed, here's my car:
I've got about 600 miles on that motor now, and it's been a dream. I finally have (almost) every part of my tune dialed in. It's powerful, smooth and easy to drive. Big upgrade from the carburetor. I'm running the Holley Stealth Ram (Thanks Ian!) with a Megasquirt self-assembled and wired ECU. No expense spared, new everything and quality brand.
I have a couple issues with the rest of the car still. My clutch sucks, my T5 is slowly (quickly) dying, and I want a T56. I'll make a thread about that swap in the garage eventually though. I also need new tires... But with my new motor I can let that one slide. Another important issue is I don't have enough power! I need more, I'm an addict.
Glad to be back! Can't wait to get my car on rollers with the new motor. Dyno ahoy!
Merry Christmas crewbies! _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

| Right on dude. Are you going with an LT1 T56, or Paul-style an LS1 with a T-5 clutch? |

If possible, go the ls1 t56 route. That way, an LS* will be easier to swap later. Well that and the LTx clutch setup sucks.
Turn those injector connectors around and hide the wiring behind the fuel rails!
Looks awesome! Can't wait to see it in person. _________________

Welcome back!
I know what you mean about the cars. Mine was more work than fun for a few years but you step away for a while then get back to it. Sounds like you are appreciating her now

Thanks Schultzy.
Off to make a T56 thread. I'm serious about getting one, I've got the money and the time right now. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56
