not Fbody but I wanted to show what I was up to tonight
no before pics, but you guys get the idea
it's real carbon, but an overlay, so purely cosmetic (they pay, so I don't ask)

You could drill a single 1/2-inch hole somewhere in the car to get the same weight savings as a carbon fiber gas filler cover..... and it's free..... and not fried rice.
Sorry, I'm just a smart ***. |

not so much, since I mentioned its an overlay, not for weight savings
you understand the premise though, these are for cars that look good for shows but dont move
j/k
I hope you don't take those to heart, but I have been waiting like ten years to see your car on the road (hint hint) _________________

Wow! That's quite a compliment!
I got it back to Illinois about 3 years ago and it's just sitting in my garage. I had to gut the entire interior because of a mouse infestation when it sat at my parents' place. I bleached the inside so the entire interior is still ripped out and all the plastic is sitting on my work bench. Headliner is sagging and needs replacement now. I can't work in my garage and I can't drive my car. I did buy some junkyard 4th gen T/A leather seats for front and rear. I need carpet before I can put the interior back together but just haven't gotten around to spending the money. Body still looks perfect though. It is aging well being in a garage 24/7.
I bought a truck and trailer just to get it back here to Illinois. The trailer hasn't been used in a year and I just sealed the deck last week. I drive the truck every day. Good old 7.3L diesel Ford. Although, the truck will get parked when snow is on the ground. It is 2WD. I keep my trusty Jeep Cherokee for winter duties. |

sunbird grill
sunbird gas door
Nissan 240sx center console lid
the two sunbird parts are for my wife and mine's 3400 swapped 91 sunbird, figure the car logs 140KM a day, might as well use it as advertising

I'd pay for some interior parts. How hard is carbon fiber to work with? _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

I should have some interior ideas ready soonish
Carbon fiber is like any composites work, it gets somewhat easier the more you work with it, definately a learning curve thing. _________________

at the moment, I don't have the room for a bunch of large molds laying around.
Hope to get there eventually, but no idea when _________________
