random side note...
though I'm sure the gains from the supercharger will be amazing, I'm surprised they decided to go with a roots style ... but I'll also say...
I hope it fits on a standard lsx block as well... |

| There have been big gains in the efficiency of the roots blowers lately. It also looks like the packaging may work better in that car. |

| it is probably not actualy a roots blower, looking at the lay out it is probably a twin-screw style, which is a much more efficient than a roots. |

ahh, true, i missed that part... it looked similar to a whipple but I know it's an eaton... threw me off, haha.

| I think Dad has one of those sirens actually.. I know he's got an antique ambulance siren/light. Also have a huge brass steam whistle off of a logging donkey. Air compressor will just barely honk that thing.. its 2ft tall! |

i've spent my morning looking at damn air raid sirens on you tube... I believe most of the larger ones are set up for 3 phase power up to 400v or something crazy like that... runs off of 240v ... http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=mmfIluyprF4&NR=1 hehe

| I dont care what this car costs, I am exstatic to see GM produce a world class sports car. We all know that the trickle down theory truly exists with GM. How much technology from this car will be part of up coming models? Knowing how cheap GM is I would say alot. GM dosnt dump loads of cash into one model, they spread the R&D costs around. Can anyone say SC 09 Camaro? |

won't happen... apparently the rumor mill has been churning up news of the Z28 to be your standard 430hp LS3 6.2l, and the SS model with the LS7 427ci... of course if a few years down the road they decide on a ZL-1 package, then sure, LS9 is completely possible, but really, pretty unlikely
another rumor has it that GMMG will be getting ahold of some cars for various dealerships again... that alone will be worth its price of admission |

I personally wonder how much GM will invest in this car, production wise. American car companies are in such a slump, with retail values/resale prices falling so very rapidly....I would assume they are trying to scramble to increase quality and recapture a market dominated by Honda and Toyota.
I would assume performance cars and their investment in them is affected.
Either way, I love the new design. Ever since the C5s I've been in love with the Vette again.

actually its a hybrid roots made by eaton...basically its both a roots style like the weiand and like the whipple screw...uses 4 lobes so it makes awesome low end and high end power cuz previously roots never had the greatest top end...but with this new design they are more efficient and got more top end...at least thats what they say from all the reading ive done
