Re: FREE Large One-Topping Pizza for All Camaro Owners (Wed., August 26)
We are proud to announce that tomorrow, Aug. 25, Papa John’s original Camaro is finally
coming home. After more than 20 years of searching, the Camaro has been located and one
lucky Kentucky man will receive the promised $250,000 finder’s fee from John and Papa
John’s!
In celebration of John being reunited with his car, on Wednesday, Aug. 26, all restaurants will
offer a FREE large one-topping pizza to Camaro owners. To redeem, Camaro owners must
arrive at their nearby Papa John’s to order and pick up their pizza in their Camaro. Limit one
pizza and one visit per Camaro. What a great way to connect with your customers and tell
them about Papa John’s beginnings and the car that started it all!
We will announce this nationally on Tuesday and will be promoting this heavily with the news
media nationally on Tuesday.
Below are a few tips on how to leverage Wednesday’s promotion with your local community.
Promotion Details
Date: Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009
Time: Regular restaurant hours
Offer: One FREE large, one-topping pizza to customers who arrive at the restaurant to
order and pick up their pizza in a Camaro (limit one pizza and one visit per Camaro)
Ideas!
• Take digital photos of all customers who pick up their pizza in a Camaro and e-mail the
photo to tish_muldoon@papajohns.com for posting on Papa John’s Facebook page (with
more than 307,000 fans).
• Contact your local Camaro Club with details on the offer and schedule a time for their
fleet of cars to visit your Papa John’s restaurant.
• If you are aware of a time when more than one Camaro will be at your restaurant, notify
local media of the opportunity to see American-made classic cars redeeming the
promotion!
Papa John has traveled cross-country this summer to meet thousands of loyal team
members and customers. He has conquered roller coasters and the sweltering Texas heat,
took the mound at professional ballparks, attempted a record for the world’s highest pizza
delivery, taught children how to toss pizza dough, chatted in football broadcasts booths, and
rang the Closing Bell at NASDAQ …all for one purpose: finding the beloved 1971 Z28
Camaro he sold 25 years ago to open his first Papa John’s restaurant.
By now, millions know his story and have been following along at www.papasroadtrip.com.
And more importantly, many have rallied behind John’s Camaro as the epitome of the
American entrepreneurial spirit. At Papa John’s, we know that hard work and dedication is
the key to success…and Papa’s Road Trip has allowed us to share that philosophy with
countless others.
If you have any questions about this promotion, contact your regional marketing director or
Tish Muldoon at (502) 261-4987 or tish_muldoon@papajohns.com. |

i mean,i have not put the "Firebird" letters back on the car yet, with nothing really saying its a firebird, it looks pretty much like a camaro??
anything little that i could find at a junkyard that says camaro on it?

| I don't view this as excluding Firebird owners. They just knew that only Camaro owners have such poor taste in food. |

| Dang it! If I had a lil more time I'd throw the 305 in the camaro and hobble it down for my free pizza! I wonder if bringing its title in is good enough heh. |

I really didn't read all that text. Damn ADD. Think this is because of the founders love of his second gen? I remember seeing a reward for the return or location of his original Z28. Guess he sold it back in the 80's to fund the starting of his pizza place? Kinda cool. _________________

True story Ian. Then he just recently found and bought his 71.5 Camaro. In celebration, free pizza for anybody with a Camaro. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56
