Federal emissions law trumps everything else. It's not legal. However if he has no smog testing, and no donut-filled officer crawls under his car to check, it's pretty much undetectable.

Assuming your car is registered in Tacoma, you need a cat (but not a smog pump) to pass the King/Pierce test.

oh, that sucks....

but i could go take the test and then take it off for 2 years.

and i am not sure a "donut-filled officer" could craw under my car.. haha Laughing

speaking of extra cats lying around, does anyone have one or 2 i could have? In Texas all they have is a "visual" inspection for cars over 25. So i need to get a pair of old cats and "make it look like i have them" to register.

Two moroso spiro-flows FTW!

come on, you could convince those guys down in texas they're two "hi-flow" cats.

Wink I know two of em will fit, side-by-side where the catalytic converter was.

I'm sure you're very GREEN Paul...

And in the process provided hilarity for years to come. There's a reason I saved that pic. Razz

Those cats stayed on there, right? Very Happy
