Discovered the brand new wheels I have for another rig won't fit the 2nd gen. So had to decide between the original rally II's or a set of monte SS wheels. Figured I'd powder coat the rally's and see what they look like. Ordered Columbia Powders best chrome and clear. Here's how 2 of em came out today.
Not perfect. You can see the imperfections in the steel underneath it, and there was some blistering in the seams. But looks pretty good to me. They almost look like a Cragar now. I think I'm going to try one more trick too. Thinking I'll paint the backside of the wheel bright red. You won't see any of it from outside except just a hint through the small openings in the wheel. |

Rally IIs are way cool.
I have a set of 15 inch Rally IIs that came on my Z28 when I first got it. I've been considering cleaning them up and selling them.
