I'm wondering if any one is planning on going to the All Camaro show on the 22nd. of August. I have been waiting months for this thing. I'm not going to compete with the princesses, just join them. I think it would be really cool if a bunch of us met up some where and all cruised down there together with our third gens. I talked with one of the organizers from the CRCC at a car show in Vancouver last month or so and he told me that if a bunch of us were going to go that he could set aside an area for the crew to all park together. He said that thats the format they're doing this year, Clubs, groups, individuals. I think that if we got together and entered if for nothing more than to make our pressence know that would be pretty Freakin cool. If you don't know what i'm talking about here's the link.

Screw show quallity, I'm not going for show i'm going for hoes Just kidding.... I think if you own a 3rdgen everyone already knows it's a work in progress. My car looks like some one pulled it out of the back yard where it had been for a long time. dropped an engine into it, placed an ad on craigslist and then sold it to me.
.
I'm just kind of hopeing that we can get an actuall presence made down at a kick a$$ show. The CRCC guys were telling me that they're trying to get as many clubs and groups together so that we can all let everyone know that clubs and groups like ours are out there and to promote growth in the interest of the F bodies. _________________ <div>Quizzes Girls Games</div> |

Ok here is the return Email i just got from the VP of CRCC.
.
.
Good to hear from you Aaron. I brought your concern to another officer in the club and here is our thought on your inquiry:
We would be happy to have you in as a group. However, there are a few conditions. All of your Camaros would have to participate in the show by paying the entry fee. Since it is an all Camaro show, the club and the dealership require all Camaros on premises to be paid participants. That's only fair to the other show participants. Since we dont have any judging categories for Firebirds, they can park with you, and should not have to pay an entry fee....again, they are not eligible for trophies, so at this point I believe they are allowed on site free of charge. I do need to check on this issue though, as there might be a liability issue for non-paying participants. Usually, by paying the entry fee and signing the registration book, you release our club from any liability related to the cruise. I will have to get back to you on that sticking point....we have a club meeting this Wednesday and I will bring it up then.
As for parking as a group.......we are parking cars in rows by generation on a 1st come, 1st parked basis. As long as your cars are all of the same generation, and SHOW UP TOGETHER...we can accomodate your request. However, any stragglers are on their own. It is impossible to hold parking spots for people for later in the day. (may not be an issue though, as we historicaly have not seen big numbers of 3rd gen cars). Mostly 1st and 4th gen cars...Its a good idea for you all to stop outside the event on a street and pre-srage your cars in the order you want them is. Parking gets pretty crazy, and we wont have a lot of discretion on how to organize you cars other than putting them in a row as they come into the lot.
Thanks for your inquiry Aaron..I will get back to you by Thursday regarding the cost or non-fee for Firebirds...hope to see you all there.

Ok here's the latest email from the Vice President of CRCC:
.
Hi Aaron, told ya I would get back to you regarding the upcoming All Camaro Show. Like I thought, your group of Firebirds would be allowed to attend free of charge as there are no judging categories for those cars. We would love to have you show up as a group. They will still need to sign the registration forms just for a release of liability for our car club.
If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to drop me a line. Thanks for your interest, and hope to see you there.
.

REALLY ??????///// NO CAMARO'S ARE GOING TO GO?????? FINE...!!!
if anyone with a firebird wants to go you won't be able to get into the show with out showing up with the CASCADECREW CAMARO'S. But i'll try to get you all in with me. We just need to find a place and time to meet up in Wilsonville or in pdx and cruise down together.

I'm so sick of this..........

Sick of what dude? Some people just can't go!
I seriously doubt I can pass off an RX-7 as a Camaro. And my camaro is kaput at the moment. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

Besides having a firebird, the local fair is going on, Unique Tin car show in longview is saturday, and I beleive the toledo threshing bee is happening as well. All things that I like to go to. This time of year there are just too many things happening on the weekends. |

I'd love to go, but I just spent a good chunk of change by going to Pinks! to support Zac, as well as a few rear end parts for the 89. Two big events on back-to-back weekends for me doesn't work when there's a good amount of travel involved. _________________ 92 Camaro

You did great taking the initiative on this, but sometimes things just don't work out. Being rude isnt going to do anything but piss everyone off. There's some people with alot more important reasons then the ones I listed. It's just a bad weekend. Plan something else and forget about it, or show up to something we allready have going. Otherwise maybe a new group might be good for you. |
