I'm gonna take the Mazda out for a baseline couple runs Friday if anyone wants to join.

Hoping to break into 15's, but that might be a long shot! First time out. Plus the 3rd gear synchro is going bad so I have to take it easy on the 2-3 shift. LOL

Good luck getting Brandy to drive.

The bird even with Deb driving should trump the poor little rotary.

We'll be there sometime between 630/7

Neither does Deb. Though she seemed to have fun at the stoplights with it.

Fun night. Just Paul and I racing. We each got a pile of time slips, hardly anyone there when we were.

Car's getting slower. 1/2 sec off the pace now. But I have major fuel issues this time. Sometimes would run out of gas just after the shift to 2nd. Maybe I oughta check the fuel filter eh?? lol. Or maybe my intank pumps not working after 290k miles and the mechanical didnt like the heat. Whichever, it needs fixed.

Thanks to Paul and Brandy for opening up the house and cooking up dinner afterwards too.

Was definitely fun. Now I know where the little wankel stands and where to go with it!

Now it's time to get the Camaro back to race ready!

Looked at the birds fuel problem today. The little drain back valve in the fuel filter was completely messed up. Probably explains the long crank times too. I also took the feed line loose before the big carter mechanical and jumpered the fuel pump relay. Whataya know, the little 290k mile in-tank pump still works! Figured out too that the way gm wired these things, if the fuel pump relay doesnt work it shuts off your choke and turns on the choke light. So that should all be functioning too. Very Happy

Now to get some Z28 springs and fix that problem!
