The old trailer's days have been numbered since that fateful night a few weeks back when one of the heavy tailer ramps fell full force on top of my wife's left foot. Whatever the injury (Xrays showed nothing broken) she's still in pain and wants to blow our ratty trailer up.

Here's the old trailer:

Note the armored ramps (They've gotta go 60 pounds or so) and the ratty fenders.

I've been on the lookout for a while, and today, I stumbled across this:

CAR HAULER TRAILER, 23'6" - $700 (S.E. PORTLAND)

$700!!!!

That's the cheapest tilt trailer I've seen in any decent condition for less then $1700!

Yes, it needs some work, but not because of the condition as much as it's because of the law.

WA State requires brakes on tandem axles. It also needs a battery and an electric brake actuator in case the trailer separates from the hitch...

Well, as bad as the other trailer looks, the axles, tires and brakes work very well. The solution?

Swap axles and wiring from the ratty trailer to this one and we're a go.

Getting to work on that tomorrow, and hopefully I'll have it done by Saturday... because Saturday we're gonna go racing again!

Got the exhaust suggestions (45 degree inward dumps and a crossover pipe) moved the tach and put the linelock button where I can engage it AND shift during my burnout.

Looking to get over 110, and get under 13 seconds... without getting tossed for noise.

More to come!

After the axle swap, put it on craigslist for some absurd amount of money.

PM me with an offer.
