ran scan on my 1988 formula a code 34 comes up changed maf sensor problem is still there could i have a short in one of my wires going to my maf any good shops in vancouver to take this car

Did you reset the ecm and see if the code comes back. Discoenct the battery for 30 seconds

disconected the battery code still comes up changed maf sensor same prob car had 2 wires that were soldered together years ago on maf car runs fine for the first 3 starts then the light turns on again

Verify the wires are good and soldered together in the right order.

Then replace the MAF power and burnoff relays.

the 2 burnoff relays are they the ones in the back by the fire wall

One is the burn off, one is the maf power, one is fuel pump, sometimes there is a 4th one depending on year.

Fuel pump should be one with a green wire/white stripe.

thanks for the help im trying to get this car out of the garage so i can finally drive it instead of letting it sit
