My brother and I went to the little car gathering in Clearview tonight and I met a guy with a 1987 IROC 5.7 litre engine and 9 bolt posi. He bought it a couple of months ago with 52K original miles on it for 600.00 bucks. He was going to part it out but it ran so well he is using it as a daily driver. It has body damage to both front fenders and slight damage to the front bumper cover. The paint is starting to peel. This car needs two fenders, bumper cover and paint, period. The owner plans to drive it until " something breaks" then part it out. I tried to talk him out of it, but he wants the engine for his El camino. He said he has parted out several IROC's.

What a shame.

You guys ever run into stuff like this?
