This is as high as i've seen a 3d gen go. Pretty nice under all the dust.

well it hasn't sold yet and the reserve hasn't been met yet either. Will be interesting to see if a third gen will sell for more than 24K.

Aside from 4.3 original miles and the crappy wheels I don't think there is too much about it that is very remarkable. Well Except of course the back story, that is truly amazing. but other than that it's one more of millions built. (talking about third gen camaros in general.) Don't get me wrong here I would love to have it, but I know of an 89 that sold for 5500 with 80k on it always garaged and looked like a supermodel. This guy wants 5X that amount and then some. is it really five times the car? eh whatever I'm sure it will sell and the seller will be happy as will the buyer. I honestly wish him luck.

I bet every seal on that car is toast. Rear main, front main, tranny seals, axle seals, all of them.

I wouldn't pay 24K for a car that has had a rat infestation.

after all I could buy a nearly complete BB firebird for 10K less, with a similar "storage" story.

Pokey pokey

Looks like a dusty old 3rd gen that you can't drive home and hasn't run in ages. I can see that I need to raise my price to $25K.

Laughing so hard it hurts man you guys crack me up. The owner could have at least kept it clean while it was in storage.

oh no. It was inside a trailer. stored on the back forty of the owners property. he probably forgot about it years before. Now the new owner, that is to say the seller, is afraid to wash it cause it might wash off the dealer prep markings; you know the chalk. about the best thing about it is the extreme low milage and the complete and total lack of UV damage in a car this age.
unfortunately the neglect it has suffered will make it rather expensive to get road worthy. Coupled with the fact that it is not at all rare, it wasn't owned by James Dean or any other famous dead guy will limit its nostalgic value I suspect even among serious collectors.
As was already mentioned the dried out seals through out, the rodent infestation, the need to spend an addition 1000 on wheels give or take.
Also how much corrosion is there on internal parts? these parts have been dry of oil for decades yet there has been humidity in the air. Will it be necessary to tear the engine down and inspect it? probably not so much but how about the dizzy and other engine electrical components?
Nope sorry just not worth 9 months pay to me

a 305 is a boat anchor with 4.3 miles or any other number as well.

Good luck to the seller. Anyone coughing up 5 figures for that thing confirms Barnum's axiom.
