| It's the heater valve. Should be fairly cheap at a parts house.. like $15 or so. |

Heater diverter valve. It diverts the flow of water to the heater core when temperature is selected to cool. I think I have an extra sitting around somewhere. _________________ 92 Camaro

If Knecht's doesn't have one call Schucks and ask for Factory Air part# 74805. It's a part that's stocked in most of their stores. That way no need to deal with morons.
And if you do try to take the one off the other car it will probably break. They get brittle and break easily after a few years. _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.

You could just delete the thing along with those hoses with one 3/4 bypass cap, a 5/8 90* coolant fitting, and some clamps. Cleans it up under the hood nicely. |

x2
Cleans up that area a little. I've had to bypass my gf's Jeep and my moms New Yorker ($30 and $45). |

When mine broke it was $35. So I spent $5 on heater hose and a cap and works fine.
Some people say that your A/C wont work as well because the heater core will always have fluid, but I never saw any difference.
Make sure to cap that vacuum line too. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

| it doesn't really matter how it goes. the hoses look like this == so connect them. Heater core shouldn't care too much how the water goes through. |

Cap the vertical Tee-d off line from the lower Hard Line.
Run one line from the intake to the heater core, run from the heater core to the rad.
Bypass the throttle body as well while you do this. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

You connect these with the 90*
And then you cap the hard line.

On my bird the hardline was routed all the way down the frame rail. I just cut the T'd section off and ran just a bit longer hose and it was still bolted to the rail. One less cap you'd have to worry about. Not like it's a big issues eitherway. _________________
