I broke yet another rocker stud on the truck today. This will make like the 4th one. First time since I switched from comp roller tip rockers, to Jegs aluminum full rollers. I thought maybe the roller fulcrum would take the scrub load off of the rocker stud, but looks like that didnt help. Stud broke right below the poly lock again. This time I didnt even bend a pushrod. Everything just layed there. These are the rebuilder type screw-in studs that do not have the hex nut at the base. So they require no head machining other then tapping the threads. Mr gasket seems to be almost the only supplier of these, and i'll say they are complete crap!

I slipped in an old stock made in america stud tonight to get it home. Just got done ordering up a stud boss cutting tool, and a set of ARP studs. Hopefully that will do the trick. Also means I need to pull the heads off of the motor again. Sad
