You are looking at the fastest top swapped Series II 3800 V6 Grand Prix GT in Colorado.

***I note, SERIES II, there is a 12 second top swapped Series III in an '04, so mad props to him!***

Well as you all know, were up here at 6000 feet so the E.T.'s are MUCH slower than what they should be...

On 8 PSI, I managed a 13.9 @ 98 MPH with no tune and shitty tires. I am currently on 13-14 PSI with better tires and will be fully tuned for E85 here very soon...

A 13.9 here close to a 12.9 at sea level, so on more boost, I could easily hit a 12 at sea level.

We determined this on another forum.

LMAO, congrats! Laughing

Although I should say that it's been my experiance that what it should run and what it does run are not always the same, and them are some pretty bold claims.

Especially since FI cars see less of a hp loss in higher elevations...

Are there lots of E85 stations around your area? I thought it'd be cool to have an E85 tune one the old prominator but there isn't a station anywhere near me!

And forced induction even less. Problem is that the NHRA has no correction factors for stock forced induction, only Comp.

Your 13.9 comes back as 13.48 though.

Buddy had a GTP up here, ran 15.1's all day, went to sea level, hit a 14.0 evertime, no changes whatsoever.

But we will see, those conversions things are garbage lol

Yes, there are a lot of E85 pumps here.

Oh, and if yuo do the proper correction factor on that site, it ends up being a 13.0

Half factor for forced induction engines. Full factor at Denver = 0.9276, therefore half factor would be around 0.9638. 13.9 * 0.9638 = 13.4~.

Either way, let us know about the E85 tuning and such. That interests me.

And that's all just calculations. You really need to run it to see for sure. I mean that's cool and all dude, but till you get a time slip, all your claiming is that your the fastest in theory. I have always been taught you need a slip to prove your that "fastest".

I clearly said that I did run a 13.9 on low boost. No other GT comes close to that time here. First off.

Second, I said I think I would run roughly a high 12 at sea level because of other buddies that have taken a full second off there time by going to lower elevation. I never said I run exactly 12's, I just said I will probably hit a 12.

But the 13.9 run makes me the quickest top swapped GT.

Sorry man, not trying to rain on your parade, just saying that maybe you should take a nice vacation out of the mountains and come down to our neck of the woods and race at the ocean.

hehe... I'm getting laughs watching this thread. Laughing

I'm glad you're having fun with your car and that it is considered one of the faster Grand Prix out there. But nothing is official until you run the number. That's something you can count on for the rest of your life. However you could say, "Word on the street is that I have the fastest ______." We'd all give you thumbs up for that one. Wink

I once had a low 11 second Vette.... Well, not really. I had a Vette that would run 12.2 @ 122 on street tires..... But we can all agree that is a low 11 second car, right? Laughing I can gaurantee nobody on here that will agree with that!
