Looks like a straight body on her, has some potential. Looks better than some of our others started. Don't see many with a sun roof.

So it is a 305 5sp? Being that it is also an 82 I'm sure there are lots up stock upgrades to do. Are all of the white area's around the hood and roof because the paint chipped off? Looks like a good starter car for sure. Welcome to the Crew.

Ah, that's right. Very Happy

I wouldn't recommend it. Not unless you get some 2.8L heads from an 86+ car and then port/polish with a gasket match. You might want to get rid of that Rochester carburetor too. That older 2.8L stuff is just given away so you can get 86+ parts cheap. As far as I know, all the 60V6 stuff has factory forged rods and crank and should be good to turn 7000rpm. So update the valve train and spin that sucker up after the head upgrade and intake mod's.

No good on the carb change from this viewpoint also. Not nearly enough cubes for a 4bbl.

Like other posts have said, the early 2.8L motors had lots of problems. You're better holding off holding out for a 350. I've even got a strong runner 350 in the shop for about $350.
