Managed to install the new blazer tank in my truck tonight too. Or at least get it bolted in and the filler hooked up. Still have to vent it, wire it, and run the fuel line. Looks pretty good though, and doesnt seem to hang too low.

so are you going to run 2 tanks or are you going to get rid of the old one

Sianora to the old tank Bart. That's the whole point of this exercise. Got it all plumbed tonight, then siphoned all my fuel and filled it. No leaks! Now I just have to get the old one out, and complete the wiring.


It's also kind of nice to move 21gallons of fuel back 6ft and down in the chassis 2 ft. That's gotta help both the center of gravity, front/rear weight distribution, and traction!

Nice indeed! There aren't many things you can do to a vehicle to accomplish that. 21 gallons x 8.34 lbs = 175 lbs moved, and that's not even counting the tank! Sweet! Cool

B you get more done in a weekend than I do in the average month on my car. That must be what it's like to not have kids. Laughing

Got it all wired up tonight. Pulled the old tank out. Moved the sub and amp to the back wall of the cab.. then took the 2x4s out from under the seat.. weird sittin so low now. hmm.. lowered the center of gravity even more by droppin the occupants 2" too...
