|
|
So after approx. 40+ hours of working on this GTA I finally got it out for some pics this AM. This is the 88 GTA I picked up for $1800 in Vancouver, WA about a month ago. It was mechanically neglected but ran and had a straight body. Plan to keep it stock, well mostly... It's coming along nicely so far! Just finished installing subframes last night.
Washed it before bringing it into the garage but not recently, so I'm sure it will look better after a thorough wash/wax/polish.

Thanks! Still a little more to do. The headliner is sagging, door hinges need replaced and the shocks/struts are shot. I'll probably drop it an inch or so when I replace the shocks/struts. Luckily I had that other 88 standing by to use as a parts car! Two to make one! _________________ 1990 IROC-Z, 383 HSR, 3.70 9-Bolt

fiveoformula - No, it had A/C. I found the non A/C box locally for $25, blasted it and painted. Summit sells the pulley for $25 so it was a quick EZ cleanup job. Thanks again for the hookup!

My son..., thats another story. Yeah, he's taken it for a drive and said he loved it. BUT, I think the teenage peer pressure with the Honda scene is just too much for him to handle. He just doesn't understand true American muscle. Him and I now have this GM/Honda rivalry going on now. OK with me, I love driving this GTA. Problem is, my yard is starting to look like a car lot and my IROC is being neglected! I need a bigger garage!! _________________ 1990 IROC-Z, 383 HSR, 3.70 9-Bolt

Look'n mighty fine! Another Pontiac in the mix, I'm liken it for sure! You even have the controls on the wheel, and the high-end gauge package, that's cool.
Nice job on the ride! _________________

looking at that interior.. i didn't realize my camaro was so gadget-less lol
and i didn't know firebirds came with those kind of options.. that's sweet, good looking car
and i'm a teenager too lol, BIG 18 (jk about the BIG part)
tuner's have never done it for me.. somthing about a beefy chevy motor that's always done it for me.. might have somthing to do with my dad having his chevelle _________________

No doubt! I thought my Camaro interior was sweet until I got my T/A! And mine doesn't even have the cool steering wheel! _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6
