I've been lurking around a Duramax forum and saw that a guy with a new LMM Duramax ran 12.75 quarter with only exhaust, tuner, and alky injection.
I also saw a recent magazine where they took a brand new stock Duramax and ran high 13's with just a Hypertec tuner.
Most of us better get used to getting our pants kicked. We're in a new era where even the trucks are hot rods. |

Hehe, we have a video of a big crazy turbo diesel truck beating Paul. He ran mid 12's IIRC. Sounded like space ship with the turbo spooled.
I think it is just a matter of time until we start seeing some smaller packing for some hot diesel motors coming out in sporty"er" type cars.

| My daily driver is a duramax powered truck and at near 5.00 bucks a gallon fuel takes away any advantage diesel power provides. Sure 600ft lbs of tourqe is fun, but it costs alot to drive. My 03 delivered 22 - 24 on the highway until the ULSD came out. Lost two MPG with that stuff and a little HP per my buttometer. |

yeah i got smoked once by a big duramax. it was lifted, big tires, and hauling a quad in the bed. I felt like a total tool. granted my car isn't that fast but i thought a lifted truck with a quad in the bed was an easy kill.
I was wrong hence my signature.

You know, some day you're going to have to get over that and move on with your life.
The other alternative is to put a better engine in your car and smoke him next time. |
