Pulled the front springs today. They were some 'Suspension Techniques' brand which doesn't sell lowering kits for F-bodies, but do sell them for older Monte Carlo's and Malibu's, so this is starting to look like a real hackjob. They also had one spring placed in the perch wrong, which is why it rode higher on the passenger side.
Compare pic of the old blues and the new Eibach's:
The problem is that the old springs weren't flat on top like the new ones, so they shredded the rubber insulators (you can see one in the pic). Is that something I can replace with heater hose, or should I get new insulators?
Also, if I wait till after cows to replace the front struts will that affect the new tires, or will they be fine? |

I used the heater hose after I cut 1/2 coil off my springs. The isolator was shot just like yours. A little soapy water or oil in the hose and it slides right on. _________________ 92 Camaro

| hit the yard and snag isolators off a 4th gen. they have metal inside and withstand the test of time far better. |
