April 4th, Evergreen speedway in Monroe. I'm planning on being there for one last run in the V6 car. $10 to get in, $50 to drift.

Registration starts at 5pm, then pit, prep, grid, (just thinking outloud), and start around 6-630. They are all pretty informal with no real set schedule. That would be awesome if you showed up! I like to watch the nissans crash. Supposedly there is a team that wants to do "Tandem Drift" which is when you do your thing with someone chasing you. Can result in a wreck.

Huh? I'm going to try to setup my camera in the back somewhere. Suprisingly, my 5mpix camera has a really decent camcorder function. I have a small tri-pod too so I might be able to stick it to the tank bump in the back. We'll see! Maybe soon I'll have a cage, then it won't be a problem at all.

Its expensive, but you get 12 runs and it lasts 4 hours typically. So thats a lot of seat time. Plus you run the risk of totalling your car. I really find it humorous that some kids do this in their only car!

if you pay the extra 5 bucks you can get a pit pass, then you can go on ride-alongs!

What do you do for rain? Does that make for easier drifting? Laughing Forecast has rain in it for Friday...

I would think so, along with some nice "rooster tails".

I'm going to be so excited if it rains!!!!!! The V6 needs all the slip it can get. I'll totally own if that happens!

Good news, we went tuning the car with Mike up in BC and we increased second gear acceleration by 0.05g's from 3-6k in the V6 car. Woot! 38* total timing and AFR of 13'ish:1 at 5-6k.

So it looks like rain today! Don't worry a bout getting wet, the stands cover a lot of seats and there usually isn't a huge turnout. If the track is at least damp I'll put on a good show for those of you who come out! I even got my in-car camera bracket fabbed and mounted last night.

I'm heading up after work. I'm going to pay the extra $5 and maybe get some good shots with the camera.

I call you when I'm close so we can meet up.

Sounds good. For all those coming and wanting to go to the "pits", here's how you get there.

Directions click here

You have to drive past the speedway and then come back around. I think tickets still have to be purchased up front though. You only have to drive around if they have the gates closed that connect the stands from the pits.
