You like? Sold the 85 for $1300 today, less than 24 hours after listing it (4 offers were made) and then found the bike listed for $1500. It has a small dent, but its my first bike, and I talked him down to $1300.
I will be picking it up Thursday ^^ |

Cool, the 500's are pretty good bikes. You should have just enough power to get yourself to speeds to get in trouble at. |

Hah, until you get on the gear kick, and realize you how much money you can spend for good riding gear. |

If a Helmet and jacket are all you're wearing, it was nice knowing you.

Yeah, at very least, get good boots, good gloves, a good jacket, some basic armor, and a good well fitting helmet (the fit on the helmet is very important) |

Invest in some second skin, aka Riding Gear buddy.

A quote from a motocycle rider acquaintance of mine: "There are two type of riders, those that have, and those that will." He was talking about the rider taking a spill, wheather his fault or not. Be well prepared for anything... _________________ 92 Camaro

That'll be good for a nice first bike. If you ever need parts, help working on ur bike or riding gear or anything gimmie a hollar. I work at Smokey Point Cycle Barn and i can use my discount to buy you stuff that you might need. Also work back in the shop and have some good experience with working on street bikes. |

I will most definitely be looking you up for gear here soon.
I have steel toed boots, curtsy of the US Army, as well as some nice leather gloves also from Uncle Sam. Its a genuine Harley Jacket, and for only a few weeks I will be borrowing a helmet.
I dont even have my endorsement yet, but I been dirt biking for 15 years. |

Question for Ya'll. There is a instruction permit you can get before you take the test for your motorcycle liscence. It mentioned a written test. Any one know whats on this test? Any info would be great. |

I think there is a riders book just like there is a drivers book you can study with before you get your learners with a car. Nice bike by the way, just don't be suprised to find out some of our cars are just as fast or faster. A friend of mine had a 05 with 3000 miles on it, thing was like brand new and he could bairly lose my rs. If only I had my Iroc. Be careful dude. _________________ Thirdgenless |

Dude, do yourself a favor and take the motorcycle safety course. They have one at the Tacoma Mall almost every weekend spring through fall. You take that and then just walk in the DMV and they're give you your endorsement without the test. Plus it'll give you the basics you need to practice. Which is primarily low speed control and then just establishing the right instincts as reflexes when something goes wrong. |

I plan on it, but I want to have my dad teach me a few things first, even if only to try and get a civil conversation going between us. |
