Aaron,
Your monthly premium is $209.37. That is only $1100.60 for 6 months. |
Craptacular. Schultzy's comment in the other topic reminded me of this. I haven't checked it since I turned 21, and that seemed to have dropped it by about $40 a month.
So what insurance are you guys using? Is there anything out there that's not going to penalize me to death for driving a fast car, and working instead of going to school? Broadform maybe?
I have no moving violations on record, no gaps in coverage, and only drive two cars. No way I should be dropping $2500 bucks a year. |

If you have good credit, e-surance and alstate. I have had good luck with both. E-surance wins the customer service side though |

I pay about $800/6mo for 3 cars and a motorcycle, with Progressive. I should probably shop around again, I had to get progressive when I had an SR22 a few years back, as they were about the only ones that would insure me, but now I have a clean record, and could probably find a better deal.

Right now I'm $102/mo for just liability on my Ranger.
when I had both Camaro's insured it was slightly over $1000 every 6 months and I was only carrying 25/50/50 Liability on both.
Unitrin/Alpha Casuality
I also have an SR22 filing, and they were about the cheapest I could find anywhere. _________________

Hmm... been getting a few quotes tonight, and Progressive seems to be the lowest: $184 a month. Still sucks, but better than the rest. |

I'm at $836/ 6 months. So that just below $140 a month for liability on my parents insurance as the primary driver through Alstate for my Camaro. That's without them knowing about my record either. I'm also 18. I alone am over half the insurance bill. Both my parents with full coverage on the jeep, liability on the Z (Datsun), and Grand Am, are still cheaper than me alone. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

Full coverage on the 92 at $635/yr. Liability & uninsured motorist at $350/yr on the 89. State Farm. And an "almost" perfect record for over 15 years - got one ticket last September. _________________ 92 Camaro

you can only get collectors insurance if you garage keep the car. many of us young folks or apartment dwellers cannot provide proof of garaged residence. therefore collectors insurance is not an option.
as soon as i get a garage the GTA is gettin' some of that. _________________ 86' firebird (Junked in 2015). 88' GTA (sold in 2020).

Really? If the car is in the garage you'd most likely see it being claimed on a home owners insurance. |
